Maserati has unveiled the MC20 Notte, the first limited edition of its MC20 super sports car. Limited to only 50 cars globally, the model embodies something similarly rare – that euphoric feeling of driving explosively through the night.
On the aesthetic front, the car captures that interplay between scattered light and darkness which suffuses the world at night. A matte white-gold Trident badge on the grille and matching MC20 logos on the sides stand out against the model’s dark bodywork. Matte-black wheels are similarly embellished with white-gold detailing. And yellow stitching adorns the edges of the black-and-grey six-way Alcantara sports seats, on whose cushioned headrests there are matching tridents.
Head of Maserati design, Klaus Busse, says, ‘MC20 Notte celebrates the thrill of racing and the allure of the night, combining supreme performance and Italian elegance with a touch of mystery of the nocturnal world. It is the first Fuoriserie limited edition of MC20 and it is dedicated to super sportscar collectors and track enthusiasts.’
For such enthusiasts, the minimalist yet sleek interior is conducive to getting into a full-throttle mood. It’s worth mentioning that future owners of the MC20 Notte will be invited to experience a Maserati on-track driving experience (the Maserati Fuoriserie team collaborated with Andrea Bertolini, former GT1 world champion, to develop the bodywork with reference to the world of racing).
The vehicle’s exterior is painted in Nero Essenza (Black Essence) Matte, a colour that complements the glossy black roof. And an “UNA DI 50” badge between the driver and passenger seats indicates the exclusivity of the model, which is propelled into motion by its 630-CV V6 Nettuno engine and specially made 20-inch Birdcage wheels.
