There are a small handful of brands that go beyond the product and epitomise a lifestyle, bringing with it the cult following to match. In the world of fine watchmaking, Bremont has carved a niche not only for being one of the rare British names in the industry, but also for its close ties to adventure built through its partnerships. Similarly, Rapha has made its own splash in the cycling market, renowned not just for the quality of its high-tech gear but how it has built a community of like-minded individuals across the globe. The Rapha Cycling Club is the ultimate expression of this, connecting members with rides, routes and group chats, as well as giving access to exclusive products and experiences.

The duo have come together to create a custom-built timepiece for members, built to withstand the toughest and longest of journeys. The sleek all-black design of the Bremont MBIII Rapha Special Edition channels the modern aesthetic of both brands, featuring a lightweight yet tough DLC-coated titanium case. The seconds hand in “Rapha pink” provides a bold highlight, while the brand’s logo is also featured at six o’clock.

Technically, every element has been thought through to ensure it’s fit for purpose. Rockier roads are no problem, as the chronometer-rated BE-93-2AV movement is well protected thanks to a rubberised anti-shock mount. Meanwhile, the knurled effect on the barrel and crowns is both tactile and easy to handle. It comes with the choice of a dressier black leather strap, or – for those planning on putting it through its paces – a sportier rubber strap.
