The HVN became a much-needed retreat from the gusty spring winds on 28 March, when Brummell hosted an exclusive event with the luxury wellness sanctuary in its Knightsbridge home. A crowd of our distinguished “Women of Brummell” gathered over a custom-made cocktail or two to learn more about The HVN’s formation and its treatments.
Lorraine Candy, author and former editor of Elle magazine, hosted an intimate panel discussion with Jo Harris, COO of The HVN, to bring to life the brand’s ethos, story and to explore current wellness trends and treatments in the theme of “Women in Business: connecting mind and body”.
The HVN, pronounced ‘haven’, is a groundbreaking wellness sanctuary located in Knightsbridge and founded in 2023 by industry veterans Muriel Zingraff, Jo Harris and Dr Tanja Phillips. The unique space offers personalised, evidence-based wellness plans crafted through in-depth consultations with the brand’s own doctors, practitioners and therapeutic experts. By blending ancient therapies with modern science, The HVN addresses a variety of health issues, from hormonal imbalances to hair loss. Striking the perfect balance between medical and therapeutic care, the sanctuary acts as a haven to both London residents and visitors seeking a transformative wellness journey.
‘The idea behind conscious wellbeing is to create a new category of wellbeing, allowing clients to become the architect of their own wellness,’ said Harris during the discussion. ‘We want to encourage people to be consciously aware of themselves and work in partnership with us to figure out the best treatment for them. After all, they are the experts of their body.’
The evening was full of incredible stories about the brand’s founders and their experience in the wellness industry, including Harris’s eureka moment when she visited Morocco to experience its traditional hammam treatment, which inspired her passion project – The HVN Hydro Bed. This waterbed is the only one of its kind in the UK and allows you to receive a massage in the most relaxing and unintrusive way possible. There was also discussion about the experts working at The HVN, such as traditional Chinese medicine specialist Dr John Tsagaris and aesthetics expert Dr Ireny Salama.
Guests on the night were offered a free consultation and complimentary 30-minute treatment on a date of their choosing. Upon leaving, they were given a gift bag, kitted out with one of The HVN’s luxury room sprays, The HVN herbal teabags (made with Butterfly pea tea, mint and chamomile), and a Brummell magazine, of course!
