Brummell is pleased to announce the publication of its Spring 2019 edition, which explores the theme of adventure in many forms – from taking personal risks to see how far you can go, to discovering roads less travelled and seizing opportunities to grow as individuals.
In this issue, we talk to Sue Flood, a photographer whose work takes her on challenging polar expeditions to capture the fascinating life of the emperor penguin in the vast Antarctic wilderness, and hear from master globetrotter Geoffrey Kent, who finally fulfilled a lifetime ambition to travel to the South Pole in style.
Elsewhere, we meet the expert adventurer Anna McDuff who can’t resist a challenge, whether by boat or bicycle, and we rev up with Charley Boorman on motorbike trips across continents. We also head out on the road from New York to LA, go shooting (with cameras, of course) the Big Five in South Africa, and learn about a different sort of safari in Europe’s wilderness, encountering bears and more in awe-inspiring natural, untamed environments close to home.
Adventure doesn’t necessarily have to be action-packed though, as whether you’re an armchair traveller or setting your sights on an intrepid expedition, it’s sure to inspire and add to life.
We hope you enjoy this issue.
