Inspired by the effortless elegance of the 1950s, and by her family’s passion for ballet, Stacey Wood founded King & Tuckfield to explore her passion for how denim and merino can shape genderless silhouettes. Named after Wood’s grandmother Joan King, and father William Aubrey Tuckfield, King & Tuckfield collections are designed in London with a strong focus on British heritage and sustainable materials. The latest collaboration with model Richard Biedul is classic yet contemporary, channelling Biedul’s own relaxed yet tailored approach to dressing, with key pieces including the Indigo pleat trouser and textured polo. ‘Stacey and I both draw inspiration from 1950s style because things were so well made in that era’, says Biedul. ‘We believe the high-quality and high-functionality of clothing made at that time should be accessible to people now.’
