Clothing has long played a major role in motorcycle culture; from the Hells Angels’ leather and wraparound sunglasses to Belstaff’s iconic Trialmaster jacket.
Triumph Heritage is the clothing offshoot of Triumph Motorcycles, which was only founded in 2020 but has already spawned signature designs that verge on cult classics. The newly launched spring/summer 2024 collection takes inspiration from Triumph’s 122-year history by diving into the company archives, with new pieces incorporating old logos and advertising graphics. These include the eye-catching leaping tiger motif taken from a 1950s T110 Johnson Motors campaign, which claimed that riding the bike was like riding the depicted wild animal. The comprehensive new collection includes jackets, T-shirts, crew sweatshirts, hoodies, trousers and accessories. Other standout pieces include the Sea Shanty tee with striped long-sleeves – inspired by vintage flat track racing jerseys – as well as the elegantly simple Fork Seal Heritage logo tee in a zesty teal shade and the Biggin Heavy cotton bomber jacket, a premium quilted-liner piece that’s perfect for those cooler spring days.
The sun-drenched campaign harks back to the adrenaline-fuelled Desert Sled scene of the 1950s and ’60s, which saw riders congregate to race across the Mojave Desert. But, rather than the Golden State, the campaign was shot a little closer to home on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, with highly collectable bikes on loan from Ace Classics in London.
