Berry Bros. & Rudd's Good Ordinary Claret
Berry Bros. & Rudd – Britain’s oldest wine and spirits merchant – is the country’s undisputed expert on all things wine, as well as being the official supplier to the Queen. The family-owned business runs the revolutionary wine trading exchange BBX and recently opened a new shop at 63 Pall Mall. But despite its prestige, it is perhaps Berry Bros. & Rudd’s arresting Good Ordinary Claret label that sums it up best. Good Ordinary Claret – or ‘GOC’ – is part of its Own Selection range, which capitalises on long-standing relationships with the world’s best winemakers, and is a perennial favourite. And at a very reasonable price, it busts the myth that fine wines are the preserve of the elite.
