Scott's refurbished Private Room features an underwater theme and tropical aquarium

Not content with opening the world’s most expensive private dining area – with a total spend of £6m – Mayfair stalwart Scott’s has also recently unveiled its newly refurbished Private Room. Perfect for larger parties of 24 seated guests, or up to 50 for standing receptions, Scott’s Private Dining Room is an aquatic spectacle complete with marble walls and gold ceiling. Lining the walls are striking panels of verre églomiségilded and painted glass mirrors that provide a rich sense of depth and life while creating the illusion of being submerged underwater alongside the vibrant sea life. The effect makes it a venue unlike anything else in London.

The room’s real showstopper, however, comes in the form of the new fish tank bar, filled with vibrant tropical fish and topped with marble. From here, guests can order from Scott’s fine selection of cocktails, wine and champagne.

Scott’s head chef, David McCarthy has created the exceptional menus using the best seasonal produce, while the restaurant’s sommelier will be on hand to recommend the perfect wine pairings.
