After an impressive two-year renovation, Dior marks the reopening of its 30 Avenue Montaigne boutique with two special editions
‘It had to be 30 Avenue Montaigne. I was going to settle here and nowhere else!’ These were the words of Christian Dior in 1946 when he came across the elegant building, one of Paris’s most chic addresses. Home to Dior’s stunning haute couture creations for more than 75 years, the flagship boutique has recently undergone a painstaking two-year renovation to bring the maison’s creations to life in the dramatic space that unfolds over more than 10,000 square metres.
Alongside its array of womenswear and menswear, the store is also a beautiful and relaxing space to take in Dior’s fine jewellery and watches, the details of which truly shine in person. To celebrate the reopening, Dior has created two special watches that pay tribute to this iconic address and its enduring legacy in fashion and haute horlogerie.
The La D de Dior 30 Montaigne sees Victoire de Castellane, creative director of Dior Jewellery, take direct inspiration from the building’s grand facade, which is delicately hand painted on the mother-of-pearl dial. This is elegantly flanked by the white-gold case adorned with round-cut diamonds. The watch is powered by an automatic movement offering 50 hours of power reserve, and comes finished on a sophisticated black silk taffeta strap.

The La D de Dior Précieuse à Secret Rose Mantique Montaigne Special Edition presents a less literal, but no less glamorous, interpretation. This delightfully whimsical secret watch playfully hides the time behind a swivelling cap, to be revealed only to the wearer. It comes in two one-of-a-kind pieces, the first combining white gold with blue sapphire and blue lacquer, while the second is a celebration of pink, bringing together pink gold, pink sapphires and lacquer to dazzling effect.
