The watchmaker’s third-generation smartwatch brings together craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology, available in a variety of stylish, customisable options

When TAG Heuer launched its Connected Watch in 2015, it revolutionised the digital watch market. With this forward-thinking model the Swiss watchmaker combined the functionality of a smartwatch with the charm and appeal of a traditional timepiece, effortlessly bringing together the two worlds in one innovative package.

Now in its third generation, the TAG Heuer Connected Watch continues to offer the very latest technology presented in a range of stylish new designs. A versatile watch designed for everyday wear, its digital services have been carefully devised to seamlessly fit around, and enhance, the owner’s lifestyle. Indispensable tools include Google Assistant and Google Translate, operating via the microphone on the left of the case, while you can pay in shops with a wave of your watch thanks to the Google Pay functionality. It also comes with all the other services you’d expect from a smartwatch and more, including music controls, maps, email notifications and compatibility with a wide range of apps on both iOS and Android.

It’s sporting performance is where the TAG Heuer Connected Watch truly comes into its own. It’s rugged design is up to the toughest training sessions, with cases available in materials including stainless steel and ultra-lightweight grade 2 titanium. Rubber straps offer a safe, secure and comfortable fit for an active lifestyle, while the watch comes with a 5 ATM water resistance rating so there’s no need to worry about running in the rain. Its 430 mAh battery can support up to six hours of constant sports tracking using the built-in GPS, which can be used to calculate different performance metrics, while athletes can take advantage of a number of other features including heart-rate monitoring. These all-important stats can be accessed and analysed with ease via the custom-designed TAG Heuer Sports app, offering real-time information on activities including running, cycling, walking and many more fitness pursuits.

Such is TAG Heuer’s expertise in this field that the watchmaker has even developed a special version specifically tailored to meet the needs of golfers. The TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition makes mastering any course a breeze with features including 3D mapping, hazards distance, shot tracking and more. It even comes with its own bespoke Golf app, free to download from the iOS and Andriod stores even without a Connected watch. This handy tool delivers key performance-enhancing insights such as tracking shot distances and scores, along with displaying 99 per cent of golf courses around the world. A particularly unique feature of the app is its Driving Zone, showing the user the best zone to target based on their previous performance.

A testament to the versatility of the TAG Heuer Connected Watch, its look is just as adaptable as its technological features. The dial is made from an ultra-legible OLED touchscreen, protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. On this screen wearers can choose between a range of mechanical and digital-inspired TAG Heuer watch faces, which can be further customised to make the TAG Heuer Connected Watch their own. These are continually updated with new, contemporary designs, including the Synopsis watch face launched this month. This cool, multi-feature display allows you to display up to six essential pieces of information to be easily read with a glance. The personalisation doesn’t stop there, with a range of strap options to choose from. Its latest release includes nubuck leather and rubber options in earthy tones of green and brown that lend a classic feel to the overall look, easily switched with a single motion thanks to TAG Heuer’s interchangeable bracelet system.
