Dior welcomes in the Chinese New Year with a new Grand Bal watch inspired by nature
As Chinese New Year approaches, Dior is celebrating in its typically elegant style with a special Grand Bal watch to mark the occasion. Inspired by the maison’s haute couture heritage, the dials of these enchanting timepieces swirl like a ballgown due to its innovative movement, which sees an ornately decorated oscillating weight displayed on top of the dial.
The Grand Bal Jardin Fleuri draws from nature, a key influence behind many of Christian Dior’s creations, delicately recreating a magical garden scene. Here the oscillating weight, powered by the exclusive Dior Inversé 11 1⁄2 calibre, is intricately decorated with a cut-out floral design. The petals are brought to life with a dazzling array of diamonds, pink sapphires and rubies, complementing the warm hues of the red dial, which is flecked with gold.
The watch, limited to 88 pieces, comes presented on a matching red alligator strap, while an additional pink satin option adds a chic finishing touch.
