Fashion forward: BBC x Bamford London ‘Rocket’ GMT

Bamford London teams up with fashion brand Billionaire Boys Club for an out-of-this-world GMT watch

Bamford London is used to rewriting the rules of luxury, taking the traditionally conservative world of horology and pushing boundaries through bold aesthetics and collaborations. For its latest partnership it has turned to Billionaire Boys Club (BBC), founded by Pharrell Williams, which has carved its own niche through its blend of streetwear with high-end fashion.

As expected, the resulting watch, the BBC x Bamford London ‘Rocket’ GMT, doesn’t compromise on style. Its eye-catching dial, featuring a moon surface effect, nods to BBC’s links with outer space that threads through its collections. Similarly, the playful rocket-shaped GMT hand references a motif created for the brand by Japanese illustrator SK8THING in 2003/2004, with its red colour scheme echoed in details on the bezel.

Limited to just 25 pieces, the timepiece is available from 9 July from the BBC Miami flagship store and online at bbcicecream.com. In a fitting finishing touch, even the box takes inspiration from the fashion brand, made with chenille fabric complete with velvet lining embroidered with the Billionaire Boys Club logo.
