Aston Martin has teamed up with Oscar-nominated Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino and The Crown actor Josh O’Connor to give its new DBX the cinematic debut it deserves.

The DBX, the brand’s first foray into the Sports Utility Vehicles sector, is designed to deliver a sports car experience. Renowned director Guadagnino subtly shines a light on this groundbreaking car with his mysterious narrative.

In the film, Josh O’Connor is behind the wheel of a Minotaur Green Aston Martin DBX with its light ivory interior. The actor, best known for his role as Prince Charles in The Crown, drives on the dirt roads of the Sicilian countryside, zooming past vineyards and sun-drenched hills, completing his road trip at an elegant villa.

“We have created this movie in which we focus on a man and his mind, as well as his command of a car through a great landscape. It was wonderful how – once Josh started to drive the Aston Martin DBX – the car somehow became this unique, beautiful sculptural object,” said Guadagnino.

The DBX was designed at Aston Martin’s studio in Gaydon, Warwickshire, and built in the company’s state-of-the-art production facility in St Athan, South Wales.
