Women’s hour: MB&F

In homage to the women in his life, MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser has released the brand’s first women’s watch, which allows only the wearer to read the time

Maximilian Büsser founded MB&F in 2005, reconstructing traditional watchmaking to create 3D structural art pieces that tell the time. Having only created men’s products until now, Büsser has recently launched his first ladies’ design, the Legacy Machine FlyingT, inspired by the elegance and vitality of significant women in his life. Encased within a dome of sapphire crystal, the white lacquer dial displays the hours and minutes with a pair of elegant blued gold serpentine hands and titled dial only readable by the wearer. ‘At some point there came a desire to create something for the women in my family. I’ve been surrounded by their influence all my life, so I gave myself the challenge to do something for them,’ says Büsser. ‘If I’m going to give a gift to those women, I’m giving them the gift of time, but only for them.’
