Since it was founded in 1990, Nomos Glashütte has carved a unique place in the market with its distinctive, Bauhaus-influenced designs that offer accomplished in-house watchmaking at a great value. Just a select handful of its timepieces begin to reach towards the higher end, led by the Lambda collection, one of its few watches previously offered exclusively in precious materials such as rose and white gold.

A trio of new additions to the family in stainless steel mean that aficionados can pick up this sophisticated watch not only at a lower price point, but in an elegant package that is better suited for casual, everyday wear. Celebrating 175 years of watchmaking in Glashütte, these three limited editions comes in a new larger case size of 40.5mm, as well as three handsome dial colours in enamel white, black and blue.

As expected from the watchmaker, the DUW 1001 movement offers the very best in precision timekeeping. This slender calibre brings 84 hours of power reserve, elegantly indicated by the sweeping arc on the dial. Each component has been carefully and painstakingly finished, including a fine sunburst polishing on the three-quarter plate. The hand engraving on the balance cock even reads ‘lovingly produced in Glashütte’, a testament not only to Nomos’s appreciation of its town’s watchmaking legacy, but the role it has to play in its future.
