Franck Muller and the Bamford Watch Department unite for this playful Snoopy-themed timepiece

In the traditional and often rarified world of high-end watchmaking, there are few that dare to be disruptors. Recent years have seen the Bamford Watch Department revolutionise the approach to customisation, making waves for its bold personalisation of luxury timepieces and partnering with some of the industry’s biggest names to offer a more bespoke horological experience to customers. But before them came Franck Muller, who similarly tested the limits of aesthetics with its creative and oft-eccentric designs.

The two make natural partners, and the watchmaker’s Crazy Hours timepiece seems a particularly fitting canvas for their latest collaboration. This watch sees the hour numerals displayed in an unconventional, scattered way across the dial. Yet, thanks to its clever mechanism, the hour hand always jumps to the next in the correct order.

Even more playfully, here the timekeeper is everyone’s favourite cartoon hound, Snoopy. While he takes centre stage keeping things ticking away, his arms making their way around the dial, his trusty sidekick Woodstock also pops up twice. Contrasting the whimsical design is the modern monochromatic colour scheme, pairing a matt black stainless-steel case and black hand-sewn fabric strap. The watch is limited to 25 pieces, presented in a special presentation box in a fun finishing touch.

This month, Brummell took a tour of @60curzon, a prestigious new luxury apartment block in the heart of Mayfair.

Not only is 60 Curzon located in one of the finest postcodes in the capital, but the building itself is a celebrated piece of architecture as the only European residential building designed by the late, great Thierry Despont.

And long before 60 Curzon took shape, it was home to the storied Mirabelle restaurant, which entertained the likes of Elizabeth Taylor and Winston Churchill back in the day.

This culinary legacy is set to continue with the exciting news that 60 Curzon will welcome Korean restaurant Kiji in 2026 – which is set to be one of the biggest openings in London next year.
