To celebrate the release of the new season of the hit Netflix series, The Lanesborough introduces its next iteration of the limited-edition Bridgerton Afternoon Tea, inspired by Benedict Bridgerton

Limited-edition cocktails, "Forbidden Love" and "Beneath the Mask"

For the members of the ’ton, afternoon tea is a quintessentially London pastime that is as sacred as a scandal sheet. Each hotel offers its own rendition, be that the Parisian pâtisserie of Maison François or Japanese-inspired tea ceremonies at The Prince Akatoki – and at The Lanesborough’s Knightsbridge address lies this season’s most anticipated afternoon tea, Bridgerton at The Lanesborough.

Hot off Lady Whistledown’s press, the hotel’s next iteration of its ever-popular afternoon tea in celebration of Season 4’s release on 29 January 2026, just in time to set us up for the month of love.

This season follows the most bohemian of the Bridgerton brothers, Benedict, as he navigates his feelings for new love interest Sophie Baek – a maid from the newly introduced Gun family – and a mysterious masked lady in silver.

Set in The Lanesborough Grill, beneath its iconic domed glass roof and powder-blue furnishings, the latest rendition of the Bridgerton Afternoon Tea is curated by head pastry chef Jolan Thiry. And while the sandwiches are a delectable selection of Westcombe cheddar and spring onion aioli, Scottish smoked salmon, and spicy harissa chicken and basil, the real diamond of the season is the pâtisserie.

As Benedict first announces to Eloise in Season 1, ‘I have love to give in abundance’, and abundance is what The Lanesborough offers us. First on the plate is “Benedict’s Masquerade”, a chocolate sablé topped with a silky chocolate and tonka mousse, delicately decorated with a half-mask crafted from chocolate.

Next, a floral cake infused with ginger and green apple mousse, green apple compote and finished with a hand-crafted flower. Named “Cottage Bloom”, this cake takes inspiration from Sophie’s love of nature and Benedict’s moonlit waltz surrounded by creamy cascades of white hydrangeas.

Other delicacies include “Let Love Take Flight”, a sharp blackberry mousse on a light sesame sponge and, the crowning jewel, “The Lady in Silver” – a sharing cake that pays tribute to this season’s leading lady, crafted with zesty lemon, vanilla whipped cream and yuzu gel, finished with a silver leaf, edible pearls and a masquerade mask.

Limited-edition cocktails also make a starring appearance, featuring a bespoke Hendrick’s gin cocktail marking the debut of the brand’s new gin, developed exclusively for The Lanesborough. “Forbidden Love” blends Hendrick’s gin with vanilla, lemon and London Essence peach and jasmine soda for a refreshing, floral finish. Despite being adorned with a mask, this cocktail knows how to stand out from the crowd.

The Lanesborough’s Bridgerton Afternoon Tea is available for booking now; £92 per person, £102 with a cocktail or £110 with a glass of Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Champagne; children’s afternoon tea £55 per child under 12
