Summer sipping: visit Villa Minuty at Rosewood London

Château Minuty has launched a pop-up restaurant at Rosewood London, bringing French Riviera flair to the heart of London

Villa Minuty, the new summer terrace at Rosewood London hotel, pays homage to the lush landscapes and relaxed glamour of the St Tropez peninsula. The restaurant, where diners can enjoy the finest cuvée rosé, is inspired by Minuty’s wine estate – originally built under Napoleon III and situated near the picturesque villages of Gassin and Ramatuelle.

Known for its distinct balance between elegance and freshness, Minuty was among the 23 estates listed in the esteemed Cru Classé des Côtes de Provence classification in 1955. Its Rose et Or is a testament to this quality and refinement. ‘Made with 85 per cent grenache variety, Rose et Or is the ideal choice for an aperitif, bringing alive a refined peach-tasting lightness,’ says François Matton, part of the family-owned business’ third generation.

Meanwhile, Château Minuty 281 celebrates the Domaine’s maritime terroir –from its Pantone 281 blue-painted bottle to its notes of iodine and white-fleshed fruits. It is ‘the best choice for food pairing’, Matton tells us, the ideal partner for the dishes on offer.

The menu, designed by Liam Fauchard-Newman, head chef of the Holborn Dining Room at Rosewood London, provides a gastronomic escape to the Mediterranean. It includes staples of southern French cuisine such as grilled octopus with citrus, bouillabaisse, feta-stuffed courgette flowers and a classic tarte tropézienne. What’s more, for those seeking a deep dive into the Provençal summer, Villa Minuty is throwing a Vineyard Feast on Saturday 29 June and Saturday 17 August. Expect a special barbecue-inspired three-course sharing menu matched with Minuty 2023 vintages.

Villa Minuty at Rosewood London is open from 12-10pm, Monday-Sunday. Minuty Vineyard Feasts will take place on Saturday 29 June and Saturday 17 August; visit the Rosewood London website for ticket availability.
