Radford unveils more details about its highly limited car

Resurrected by Jenson Button and Ant Anstead, Radford already had solid motoring DNA even before the arrival of its famous new owners. The coachbuilding company’s first foray into the 21st century is the Type 62-2 based on Lotus technology. There will be a limited build of only 62 cars, of which 12 will carry the evocative JPS livery, also resurrected by the new Radford team.

Details on the new car have been teased out over months and the latest part of the design to break cover is the interior, which is an exercise in minimalism, as befits its racing retro vibe. Magnetised mobile phone dock and wireless charging make it more about what you can’t see. The standout feature is a dash-mounted mechanical stopwatch by the British watchmaker Bremont.
