Spinnaker’s latest dive watch combines top underwater performance with a slim and wearable design

A dive watch is the ultimate test of style and substance, a design that is wearable for everyday but can be trusted in challenging, and sometimes life-threatening, underwater environments. Naturally there’s often a trade-off, with these timepieces tending towards being slightly thicker and more unwieldy on the wrist than their non-seafaring counterparts.

With its latest release, the Spence 300, Spinnaker’s engineers have carefully honed its construction to allow for a slimmer and more comfortable feel. The resulting timepiece is just 11mm thick, yet still delivers over 300 metres of tested water resistance.

Beyond this reassurance, every element has been conceived with performance in mind. Dive watch essentials include the unidirectional bezel, screw-down crown and anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Beating at its heart is the 24-jewel Miyota 9039 automatic movement, offering 42 hours of power reserve, more than enough for longer dives. Meanwhile the highly legible, large indexes and hands are coated in luminous material to ensure excellent visibility even underwater. The sporty model comes on a stainless-steel bracelet, as well as hand-stitched leather strap.
