Panerai marks its ongoing partnership with sailing team Luna Rossa with a sleek new take on its Luminor

Watchmaking and sailing have many synergies. Both require skill, concentration and precision and, despite their centuries-old history, rely on harnessing the latest technological advancements to remain the best in their field. It’s this spirit that draws two of the biggest names of both worlds together, Panerai and Team Luna Rossa. Even deeper than this, they share an Italian heritage and love for the marine world that is at the heart of what they do.

Ahead of the next America’s Cup, taking place in Barcelona in 2024, Panerai’s Luminor Luna Rossa gets a sleek new look befitting the most high-tech of sailing vessels. Limited to 1,500 pieces, here the brand’s famous diving watch is kitted out in a contemporary palette of white, grey and red. The clean look is enhanced further still by the subtle contrast of the polished 44mm steel case with the brushed-finish crown protection device. Ensuring legibility are the luminous hands and indices that glow green as night falls, while the small seconds hand stands out in red.

Powering the watch is the manual-wind P.6000 calibre, offering an ample three-day power reserve to take you through a long weekend out on the sea. Bringing both practicality and style, it comes with a rubber strap as well as a second material version in grey, adorned with a red stripe featuring the team’s logo.
