Seventies style makes a welcome comeback in the French watchmaker’s retro-influenced designs
When checking the time is so easily accessible at the glance of a mobile phone or even by asking Alexa, wearing a watch is now less of a practicality and more of a statement of style. And when it comes to eye-catching accessories, they don’t come much bolder than the Seventies aesthetic of March LA.B and its handsome AM2.
The brand takes its name from Biarritz, where its founder Alain Marhic hails from, and LA, where his designer Jerome Mage is based. Together the two Frenchmen create watches that are purposely a far cry from the heritage-steeped models of the traditional Swiss watchmakers. The AM2 stands out with its angular case, defined by its distinctive rounded square form, complemented by similarly retro stylistic touches across the dial. The stainless steel timepiece comes in both quartz and electric options, available with a range of dial colours and straps.
March LA.B AM2 Mars
A new addition to the line has recently landed in the form of the AM2 Mars, limited to just 50 pieces. Its alluring forest-green sunray dial boldly contrasts against the black PVD case, while the sleek look is finished with matching black indexes and hands, presented on a black perforated alligator strap with green lining.
