Orient and Peanuts celebrate their 75th anniversaries with a new collaboration

The luxury watch company joins forces with the beloved comic strip to release three new limited-edition timepieces

In the post-war streets of 1950s Tokyo, craftsmen at the Hino factory came together to create the New Orient, a wristwatch that combined reliable movement with innovative design. This marked the beginning of Orient and its cutting-edge timepieces. Meanwhile, across the Pacific, a loveable cultural icon was being born, or should we say sketched, in the back pages of an American newspaper. And it wasn’t long before both Peanuts and Orient spread from their respective corners of the world to become global phenomena.

Now, 75 years later, the two brands celebrate their shared milestone with a special collaboration. The limited-edition collection introduces three updated Orient classics, each featuring Peanuts characters Snoopy and Woodstock, presented in a collectible 75th-anniversary box.

Orient Mako 40 – 75th Anniversary Peanuts Edition, £399.99

For those seeking a compact everyday watch that balances price with quality, a Bambino 38mm Peanuts edition has been released in two dial colours. One for the stylish horophile, the Peanuts x Orient Stretto is a watch more technical in aesthetic with its skeleton-windowed dial, but no less charming. Rounding out the trio is a fresh take on the brand’s renowned dive watch, the Orient Mako 40.

Each model is complete with the Orient’s original logo in cursive at 12 o’clock and a commemorative Peanuts anniversary artwork at 6 o’clock. Turn over the case and you’ll discover “Orient 75th Anniversary” engraved in cursive alongside Snoopy and Woodstock motifs and the limited-edition serial number. Beneath the surface, a 40-hour power reserve and an in-house automatic calibre ensure these watches are as technically refined as they are collectible.
