Ollie Dabbous at Wellbourne Brasserie

The Michelin-starred chef is dropping in to the White City restaurant to join forces with his former colleagues for a special one-off dining event

This autumn Wellbourne Brasserie will host a bespoke dinner that will see acclaimed chef Ollie Dabbous reunited with his old team.

Opened earlier this spring, offering modern British dining, the restaurant is the result of the combined efforts of former-Dabbous head chef Ross Gibbens and senior sous chef Michael Kennedy.

On Thursday 1 November, the pair will welcome their former boss and mentor Ollie Dabbous to join them in the kitchen for this special one-off dining event. The dinner will consist of a six-course tasting menu, including spectacular dishes such as Cornish mackerel tartare with iced eucalyptus, barbecued octopus with chicory, and a chocolate and hazelnut éclair.

Gibbens’ impressive CV includes experience in some of the most prestigious kitchens in the UK, such as Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Launceston Place, The Vineyard and The Square. Having met at Le Manoir, Gibbens and Kennedy were quickly hired for Dabbous’s first solo venture in 2012. The restaurant was an instant hit and earned a Michelin star just eight months after opening.

Five years later, Gibbens and Kennedy launched Wellbourne, with a restaurant in Clifton Village and another in the Spanish Pyrenees, before opening west London’s Wellbourne Brasserie in spring 2018.

Dabbous recently opened Michelin-starred Hide restaurant and bar in Piccadilly with Hedonism Wines.

The dinner will start at 7pm with vol-au-vents and champagne, followed by the six-course dinner. Non-alcoholic options will be available. £65pp with optional wine flight at £50. wellbourne.restaurant
