Oliver Spencer: 10 years of style in Bloomsbury

The designer clothing brand celebrates the milestone with a reinvigorated classic jacket

To mark 10 years since Oliver Spencer opened the doors of 62 Lambs Conduit Street, a shop, design studio and head office on one of London’s most vibrant streets, the designer has delved into the archive to recreate an old classic.

The Fisher Jacket, a deep yellow blouson-style waxed cotton bomber, was created specifically for the store when it first opened. It is styled with a neatly curved cut-away collar and elasticated self-fabric cuffs and hem for a tidy and simple silhouette. The brass double-ended zip sits on top of contrasting herringbone tape and the two zipped hand-warmer pockets and welted top pocket give you somewhere to put the essentials.

‘For us, this jacket is the one that embodies everything brand “Oliver Spencer”, from functionality to style, so it made sense for us to make it the hero product for our flagship store’s 10th anniversary,’ said Spencer. ‘It’s also important that it has been a favourite of our customers over the years.’

The lining is made from ecru cotton herringbone and the jacket bears a discreet touch of embroidery to mark the brand’s 10th anniversary. There’s also a commemorative ‘X’ emblazoned across three limited-edition Conduit T-shirts in navy, ecru and pink marl. These wardrobe essentials are a fitting way to help Oliver Spencer celebrate a decade in the heart of the capital.
