After the success of Gloria in Shoreditch, Big Mamma Group has opened its second trattoria, Circolo Popolare in Fitzrovia (bigmammagroup.com), serving up authentic Italian classics, including its delicious metre-long pizzas, in a whitewashed Sicilian-inspired interior. Elsewhere, Jason Atherton’s new restaurant, The Betterment at Mayfair’s Biltmore hotel (thebettermentmayfair.com), has Michelin-starred chef Paul Walsh at the helm serving wood-fired dishes in elegant surrounds.
