With Jenson Button at the wheel, Lotus unveils its all-electric SUV, the Eletre

The Evija was the hypercar, but it’s on the more everyday vehicles that the success of Lotus will be built… and big things are expected of its latest offering, the Eletre. Unveiled to great fanfare with Jenson Button at the wheel, it is an all-electric SUV. But this uncharted territory is where Lotus will have to go to sell the volume it desires. An expected 592 bhp and a range of up to 373 miles are encouraging for a car that is expected to cost around £100k. It helps to be the first these days and Lotus is billing the Eletre as the “world’s first electric Hyper-SUV”.
