Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin

A new and exclusive photography book tracks the history of one of the greatest bands of all time

When it comes to iconic rock bands, it doesn’t get more iconic than Led Zeppelin. Even just the name conjures images of a screeching long-haired lead singer, guitar power poses, drumsticks raised, ready to create a rhythmic racket and all the other clichés of a band who defined rock’n’roll in the 1960s and 70s.

For the first time, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones have collaborated to create an illustrated book charting the rise and rise of Zeppelin through the years. The book, titled Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin, coincides with the 50th anniversary of the formation of the band.

The 400-page chronology comprises hundreds of carefully curated images and artworks personally selected by the band members, alongside exclusive annotations from Plant, Page and Jones. The book also features contributions from the many photographers who have captured the band throughout its long life, including Dick Barnatt, Chris Dreja, Carl Dunn, Bob Gruen and Elliott Erwitt, as well as photos from the Atlantic Records archives and those from the band’s personal collections.
