The Ritz Restaurant at the Piccadilly hotel is partnering with Laurent-Perrier in a series of pairing dinners throughout the month
An epicurean treat that combines the best of British and finest of French will be available throughout November at one of the capital’s favourite restaurants: The Ritz. While it’s not unusual for a leading champagne brand to join forces with a highly regarded restaurant for a special pairing dinner, it is a rare treat to have that meal and prestigious cuvées available day and night for an entire month. And The Ritz London and Champagne Laurent-Perrier exclusive dining experience is bookable for lunch and dinner from 1 to 30 November 2025.

John Williams MBE, executive chef of the Ritz Restaurant
The Ritz Restaurant is one of the grandest and most beautiful dining rooms in the world, and the food holds up to the promise of the setting, too. This year, it not only doubled its Michelin star count, but also won the National Restaurant Awards. Executive chef John Williams MBE, like his film-composer namesake, is influenced by the classics but revives them to create instantly memorable contemporary blockbusters.
For the Laurent-Perrier menu, there will be an evolving selection of dishes, depending on the availability of the sustainable, seasonal British produce Williams insists on using. However, you could reasonably expect most of the following: Dorset crab with crème fraîche and Imperial caviar; langoustine à la nage (ie in a fish bouillon) with bronze fennel; Cornish turbot “ton sur ton” (a two-tone sauce); chestnut-fed pigeon with duck liver, beetroot and cassis; and raspberry soufflé to round off the five-course meal.

There is a full flight of champagnes to accompany the meal, each from Laurent-Perrier, one of the few independent, majority family-owned maisons among the major brands. All the paired wines are classed as prestige or ultra-premium – no basic brut here!
The evening begins with canapés and a glass of the complex Laurent-Perrier Héritage, a 40-crus (50 per cent grands crus), all-reserve-wines blend of four vintages: 2014 for freshness, 2016 for the chardonnay structural element, 2018 for ripeness and the excellent 2019 vintage for finesse.
Grand Siècle Iteration No26 is also on the list – this time, a blend of three years (2012, 2008 and 2007) aged 10 years on the lees, yet with remarkable freshness; plenty of candied lemon, fresh hazelnuts and a hint of mineral salts (in other words, ideal to pair with seafood).
And if anyone’s concerned about a lack of vintage champagne, fret no more: Laurent-Perrier Brut Millésimé 2015 delivers aromatic hedgerow and garden flower notes, along with complex citruses and toasted brioche, zingy on the tongue with a creamy finish.
There are also two rosé champagnes in the lineup: Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé, a 100 per cent pinot noir that is an exercise in precise maceration timing (depending on each harvest) in order to achieve the right colour and balance between fruit and floral aromas with a dry finish.
Then a real treat: Alexandra Rosé Millésimé 2012, a rare vintage prestige cuvée, a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay with concentrated red berry fruit and subtle liquorice notes but also an elegant tannin backbone with delicate bitter orange notes.
The Ritz London and Champagne Laurent-Perrier Exclusive Dining Experience is available for lunch and dinner until 30 November 2025, priced at £498pp, including champagnes. Book via The Ritz London website: theritzlondon.com; laurent-perrier.com
