Fine wine and spirits company Biggar & Leith has launched a new liqueur crafted to evoke the flavours of everyone’s favourite dessert

In 2020, fine wine and spirits company Biggar & Leith launched Stambecco Amaro, a maraschino cherry-flavoured take on the traditional digestif, and delighted home and professional mixologists in the process. From its home in the Italian Alps near Piedmont, Stambecco (named after the ibex that live in the mountains nearby) crafted its amaro from local marasca cherries from near Turin as well as a selection of botanicals including rhubarb, gentian root, lemon, cinchona (the tree from which quinine comes), yarrow and saffron. Designed to be drunk neat, over ice or stirred into a selection of refined and fun cocktails, Stambecco’s gorgeously graphic bottles now grace the shelves of many bars and cocktail lovers’ homes.

Now Biggar & Leith has launched a second Stambecco, a tiramisu-flavoured liqueur that, like its sister spirit, is made for drinking on its own or in cocktails. Stambecco Tiramisu was created by master distillers Beppe Ronco and Denis Muni in the Torino distillati in Piedmont and is made from all-natural ingredients including espresso from Turin. The liqueur evokes the mascarpone, amaretti biscuits, cocoa and coffee flavours of everyone’s favourite dessert and is delicious served over ice, in a decadent espresso martini when shaken with espresso and Kahlua, or Irish coffee. It should be in every coffee and dessert lover’s bar to serve over ice at the end of meals through to the end of summer, and then as an autumn and winter warmer when the weather turns.

Stambecco Tiramisu, ABV: 24%, £24.99 for a 700ml bottle, available to purchase from Amazon
