Italian summer: Acqua di Parma and La DoubleJ

Brighten up your beauty routine with Acqua di Parma’s new collection with La DoubleJ

If the essence of a perfect warm summer breeze could be captured in a bottle, it would come in the form of Acqua di Parma’s new collaboration with fashion label La DoubleJ. Joining together two of Italy’s chicest brands, each bringing their own distinctive flair: the vibrant, maximalist style of La DoubleJ matched with the natural, elegant charm of the perfume and lifestyle brand.

Journalist and editor JJ Martin launched La DoubleJ in 2015 as a way to sell her covetable collection of vintage clothing, which has since become renowned for its bold and innovative use of print. Here this magic touch has been applied to an eye-catching pattern revived from a historical archive of Italian fabrics, given a unique twist to create two new prints – Confetti Blu and Confetti Giallo.

These have been used to adorn some of the Acqua di Parma’s best-loved essences – Arancia di Capri, Fico di Amalfi and Mirto di Panarea – presented in three new formulas. The first, a luxurious shower mousse (£37), is an idyllic addition to your everyday beauty regime. Containing plant-based cleansing agents to keep the hydrolipidic balance while delicately cleansing, it also is enriched with glycerine, vitamin E and pro-vitamin B5 to leave your skin feeling thoroughly nourished.

For an even deeper cleanse, use the body scrub (£50) once or twice a week. The delicate mix of cane sugar granules, jojoba and orange peel gently smooth the skin, while its natural oil-based formula keeps the skin hydrated. Finish with the body lotion (£42), which comes in an effortlessly easy-to-apply spray bottle. Its carefully balanced combination of almond, olive and grape oils absorb rapidly, leaving the skin gorgeously soft and velvety.

The collection extends to a candle (£60) perfumed with Arancia di Capri, evoking the zesty freshness of orange, mandarin and bergamot. Meanwhile the Blu Mediterraneo by La DoubleJ Discovery Collection Set (£55), containing Arancia di Capri, Bergamotto di Calabria, Fico di Amalfi and Mirto di Panarea in a practical 10ml roll-on format, provides a moment of indulgence wherever you go.
