Omega gears up for the Olympic Games this summer with a special take on its Seamaster

Omega has been the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932, and while Tokyo 2020 is coming a little later than expected, this summer the watchmaker is once again primed to capture every second of the action for the 29th time.

It is gearing up in fitting style with the unveiling of a special Seamaster with a colour scheme inspired by the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games emblem. The deep blue is seen on the ceramic bezel of the 42mm stainless-steel case, filled with a white enamel diving scale. This is complemented by the polished white ceramic dial, which features laser-engraved waves in a nod to the watch’s diving heritage. The Seamaster motif stands in red, contrasted with large blue hands and indexes, which also add legibility.

As you’d expect from the company trusted with keeping track of some of sport’s most important moments, the watchmaking itself is a showcase of Omega’s precision timekeeping. It is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800, officially certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology, and viewable through the sapphire-crystal caseback. The special watch comes presented in an Olympic Games presentation box, along with a Master Chronometer card and a five-year warranty.
