Brummell’s five ways team show how to style the iconic Armani/Casa Logo Lamp

Back in 1982, the year Giorgio Armani was on the cover of Time magazine, the inimitable designer made his first foray into interior design with the Logo Lamp, an elegant light with which he lit his offices in Via Durini, Milan.

The lamp is still available today, made in a simple geometric shape from glass and metal and, as the designer himself says, ‘has the appearance of a type of lamp archetype.’

This means it works in all manner of interior settings. Some two decades later, and Armani/Casa, a full interiors collection, was born, comprising a range of exquisite home furnishings, refined lighting and elegant textiles. And when, in 2000, he was looking for a logo for this new venture – one of the very first examples of a fashion designer expanding into furniture and furnishings – Armani remembered the shape of his trusty little light. Hence the name.
