Drop-top velocity: Aston Martin

Aston Martin’s DBS Superleggera gets a convertible remake, introducing the fastest production drop-top on the market

Until the Valkyrie rides into town later this year, the apex of Aston ownership is the DBS Superleggera. The Volante addition to the name means you lose the roof, but fear not a soft convertible. This brute in a suit will still propel you to 62mph in 3.6 seconds en route to an astonishing 211mph with the wind, not so much in your hair, but flying past you at a staggering rate of knots. Those figures make this the fastest production drop-top currently on sale. However, it looks so good you may want to slow down to give passers-by a fighting chance of admiring its beauty.
