Cementing its exclusive reputation, Harrods has recently launched its new Fine Wines and Spirits rooms – a multisensory shopping destination for both novices and drink enthusiasts. Comprising separate rooms for wines, spirits and champagne, products are categorised by flavour profile and terroir. The Fine Wines room, set in the centre of the department, also houses a unique Aroma Table, allowing customers to immerse the senses by dissecting the flavours of each grape through scent. There’s also an in-house engraving service, personal consultations and bespoke cellar plans for those looking to build their own collections – and a live stream to vineyards and winemakers in the best regions.
