Dive in: Tudor Pelagos

The Tudor Pelagos is a traditional mechanical divers’ watch, reliable and robust enough to accompany you on any land or seafaring adventure

Since Tudor Watches was founded on behalf of Rolex Founder Hans Wilsdorf in 1926, the brand has been closely tied to its extensive use by professionals in underwater pursuits, particularly by major navies throughout the world.

Its sturdy Pelagos dive model, with 42mm titanium and steel case, is available in classic black or a striking blue, with a choice of a titanium bracelet – which is 60 per cent lighter than steel for comparison – or a sporty rubber strap that comes with a buckle and extension piece. The ultra-lightweight bracelet is resistant to seawater corrosio, and, during a dive, it automatically adjusts according to the water pressure thanks to a patented auto-adjustable buckle.

Waterproof to 500m (1,640ft), optimum readability of the dial is guaranteed at all times, even in extreme diving conditions, due to its blue luminescence (blue being the last colour on the spectrum to be discernible at great depths). Another essential feature of the watch is a helium escape valve for preserving the watch during saturation dives.

Each Pelagos model houses a COSC-certified Tudor in-house movement, however, a ‘left-handed’ version of the watch – the Pelagos LHD – is also available, produced as a numbered series with the Tudor MT5612-LHD manufacture movement, allowing for a winding stem to appear on the left-hand side.
