Cold comfort: Fay

Looking back at its rich heritage, Fay launches its new Archive collection in collaboration with Alessandro Squarzi

Italian brand Fay has been the champion of workwear-inspired style since it was launched in the late 80s by Diego and Andrea Della Valle. They were working and studying in the United States when they bought EA Fay, a brand specialising in uniforms for firefighters in Maine.

New for 2019, the Fay Archive celebrates the history of the brand, bringing back its original DNA in the form of a “dual collection” designed in collaboration with men’s style expert and vintage clothing collector Alessandro Squarzi. Highlights in the collection include down-padded parkas and long, padded trench coats for winter. For warmer temperatures, the jungle jacket and the work jacket feature distressed prints emulating the original emblems of American firefighters.
