Enjoy pocket-sized versions of your favourite Dishoom dish any day of the week with the restaurant’s new delicious Lunch Pots

At one time or another, the majority of us will have joined the worth-every-minute queue to nab a seat in the ultra cool mid-century surroundings of one of Dishoom’s nine restaurants around the UK. Inspired by the old Iranian cafes of Bombay, which served to bring people of all cultures together in a space of shared meals and experiences, Dishoom’s welcoming, inclusive vibe brings diners back through its doors time and time again.

The hearty, authentic food is, of course, the biggest pull. It’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t get excited at the mere mention of its signature black daal. And this is why Brummell was so happy to learn of the stalwart’s new Lunch Pot offering, so we can enjoy the a rich and hearty meal even when we can’t make it to the restaurant. This range of four delicious pots, packs one of your favourite dishes from the menu into a handy pot for a quick and delicious lunch on-the-go.

Available to order every weekday from 12-4pm, each pot is served with basmati rice and a choice of chicken ruby, tender chicken in a rich, silky makhani sauce; mattar paneer, delicious vegetarian curry, beloved of Bombay families and the brand new mushroom pepper fry, with red chilli, ginger-garlic, whole spices and black peppercorns.

Brummell ordered the mattar paneer via the Deliveroo app and it arrived quickly, and deliciously steaming the ideal lunchtime antidote to the winter chill outside. It’s a heartwarming pot that is full of flavour and the perfect portion for a mid-week lunch ‘al desko’. So convenient, so delicious, so satisfying – a real treat.

Lunch pots from £10; order Monday-Friday, 12-4pm via Deliveroo app or from dishoom.com
