Piaget goes green for two new additions to its Polo family, each bringing their own unique take to the eye-catching colour
With a background in both fine jewellery and watches, Piaget is adept at weaving colour through its horological creations. A hue that holds a special place in its collections is green, becoming an integral part of its palette in the 1960s and expressed through the use of the finest examples of jade, jasper, malachite and emeralds.
The shade has continued to grow in popularity – particularly for men’s watches – striking the perfect balance between sophistication and eye-catching looks. Two new additions to Piaget’s refined Polo range are some of its finest examples to date, each bringing their own bold and unique take.
The Polo Date brings an added elegance to this classic design. The rose-gold case provides a luxe contrast to the rich green dial, its horizontally striped pattern adding a decidedly retro feel that nods to the watch’s 1970s origins.
Altogether more contemporary is the Polo Skeleton, a showcase of Piaget’s considerable expertise in creating technically complex open-worked timepieces. Here it has been presented with green bridges, highlighting the fluid and architectural form of the movement in this watch that is impeccably crafted from inside out.
