Armani/Fiori, Giorgio Armani’s floral offering, releases a beautiful book

Armani/Fiori, a floral design and decor offering under Giorgio Armani’s creative direction, with dedicated boutiques around the world, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, it is launching a book, Armani/Fiori, out on 19 September, published by Rizzoli. Featuring a silk cover and a back with visible binding, the book showcases intricate floral arrangements as an intersection between design and nature, referencing the world of fashion and textile. Giorgio Armani’s fascination with flowers began at his villa in Pantelleria, when the vision of a colourful cactus flower on a hot summer’s day inspired him to explore a more frivolous creative approach. Exemplifying ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, Armani/Fiori combines harmony, balance and movement, mirroring the subtle yet decisive aesthetic that made the fashion brand globally renowned. ‘In my view, flowers are an acquired taste, an achievement of adulthood,’ says Armani. Alongside flowers, the publication also showcases vases, boxes and trays. All proceeds from the royalties of the book will be donated to Milan’s Forestami urban forestation project.
