Celebrate the Bank Holiday weekend at Market Halls’ fabulous three-day virtual food, drink and culture festival with all proceeds going to charity

This weekend, Market Halls are hosting a three-day virtual festival in aid of three charities helping to support those most affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. The three charities are The Felix Project, an organisation working to combat food poverty, Hospitality Action, supporting people from the hospitality industry and Hospro, who work to raise awareness of mental health problems.

Market Halls is the collection of high-end food halls found across London in Victoria, Fulham and the West End. It has already made a name for itself for bringing together London’s most covetable restaurants, bars and takeaway services under one roof.

The three-day virtual festival takes place on Zoom from Saturday 23 to Monday 25 May and includes more than 22 activities, ranging from family friendly fun and fitness sessions, to cooking masterclasses, mixology lessons, guided tastings and musical performances. Highlights include the chance to learn how to make the perfect roti with Roti King, a Virtual Wine Hour live from South Africa with Journey’s End, breathwork with The Breath Guy Richie Bostock and a Gin masterclass with Sipsmith. Each of the three days is divided into morning and afternoon sessions and Market Halls suggests a minimum donation of £5 per session you want to attend.

The line-up has been curated by Market Halls’ marketing director Ed Lewis-Pratt and events consultant Ollie Davies, with the aim of supporting those most in need during the Covid-19 crisis.

The Felix Project collects surplus food from wholesalers and supermarkets and delivers it to vulnerable people, schools and charities. The Covid-19 outbreak and lockdown has lead to the Felix Project quadrupling its activities and the organisation delivered 1.6million meals in April alone.

Funds raised by the Market Halls Festival will be split equally between The Felix Project, Hospitality Action and Hospro.

Visit Eventbrite to get your ticket to the festival. Visit markethalls.co.uk to find out more about its lockdown offers and activities, including great recipe suggestions and the tempting Market Halls Beer Box, a box of independent beers delivered to your door.
