Banbury boot: Edward Green

Edward Green’s new Banbury is the perfect boot to help you start off the new season on the right foot

After beginning as an apprentice aged 12, Edward Green established his shoemaking workshop in Northampton in 1890, where the brand’s shoes are still crafted more than a century later. A team of 60 skilled artisans produces 350 pairs of shoes a week, which go to boutiques across the globe, as well as Edward Green’s London and Paris stores.

The brand prides itself on creating quintessentially English footwear. The Banbury – Edward Green’s classic chukka boot – is no exception. It’s available in dark oak antique and black calf; mink, army green and snuff suede; and dark brown and black delapré (a supple matte calf). A versatile choice, the Banbury is smart enough for the office and practical in all weathers.
