Bucherer and Audemars Piguet join forces once again for two new takes on the classic Royal Oak
Bucherer first launched its Bucherer Blue line in 2016, partnering with some of the world’s most renowned watchmakers to create coveted limited editions united by the retailer’s signature colour. Blue also holds a special place in Audemars Piguet’s history. It featured on the dial of the first-ever Royal Oak in 1972, adding to its distinctive, sports-chic look that would make it one of the defining watches of the era.
The two companies have once again come together to produce a duo of watches that bring a modern and dynamic take on this iconic timepiece. The 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph Bucherer Blue features an alluring ‘méga tapisserie’ patterned deep blue dial, and is the first special edition of this particular model since it was first launched in 2014. Adding to its contemporary look is a two-tone case in stainless steel with pink-gold bezel and lugs, another unique feature developed specifically for Bucherer blue.

A 37mm version is more petite but no less eye-catching, presented in stainless steel with a white dial and contrasting subdials, framed by a pink-gold bezel set with 32 diamonds. Both come on practical and stylish leather straps and can also be dressed up with the option of an interchangeable alligator leather strap, a testament to the versatility of the classic piece.
