Bremont adds a svelte new sports chronograph to its Supermarine collection
Bremont’s identity is inextricably linked to aviation, born from its founders’ love of vintage planes and tinkering with all things mechanical. But beyond its rugged and robust pilot’s timepieces, it applies the same rigorous approach to its watches for divers. The Supermarine collection, designed for underwater adventures, even draws its inspiration from the world of flight, taking its name from the iconic British aircraft manufacturer responsible for the Supermarine S6B Schneider Trophy Seaplane and the Supermarine Spitfire.
The watchmaker is now adding its first sports chronograph into the range. This hardwearing piece is more svelte than you would typically expect, its case measuring in at just 15.8mm and made using Bremont’s signature three-piece construction. It comes powered by the chronometer-rated La Joux Perret 7754 calibre, offering a chronograph along with a GMT functionality.
Available in black and blue options, they come with all the essential features required for deep-sea expeditions. This includes a bi-directional bezel and hands filled with Superluminova for optimal legibility, while it comes on a practical rubber strap or integrated metal bracelet for a more smart-casual look. It also offers a water resistance of 200 metres despite the sapphire crystal caseback, allowing you to admire the movement in action.
If in any doubt of tough qualities, Bremont has brought on a new ambassador to put the watch through its paces. Jason Fox, former Royal Marine Commando, ex Special Forces Sergeant and star of SAS: Who Dares Wins will be wearing the Supermarine Chrono, joining the line-up of extreme adventures and explorers that have long been a part of the Bremont family.
