Metaxa is perhaps Greece’s most revered alcoholic export, a singularly complex spirit formed of muscat wines from Samos island, aged wine distillates and botanicals. The House of Metaxa dates back more than 130 years and these years of experience have gone into creating its latest expression, Metaxa Aen Three Generations.

Aen is derived from the ancient Greek word for “forever” and means eternal, a symbol of the ongoing tradition of producing Metaxa and the knowledge passed from one generation of Metaxa Masters to the next. The limited-edition spirit has been crafted from a selection of rare and exciting Metaxa expressions from across the years that have been brought together to create an amber spirit of undeniable depth and complexity. The flavours of Metaxa Aen Three Generations are satisfyingly rich and nuanced, combining a nose of honeysuckle, bergamot, nutmeg and liquorice with a palate of dark fruits and fig with chocolate and toffee.

Metaxa Aen Three Generations will be available in 1,000 specially designed decanters adorned with three golden circles that represent the three generations of the Metaxa family and the house’s three outstanding qualities: provenance, craftsmanship and time.
