Ball Engineer III Marvelight Chronometer

In recent times the rainbow has come to represent hope and positivity around the world and, with its latest release, Ball has drawn inspiration from this powerful symbol to create a limited-edition timepiece raising funds for the crucial work of The Salvation Army.

In darkness, the Engineer III Marvelight Chronometer brings a spectacular display of light with bright, multi-coloured highlights across its hands, indices and minute track. This is achieved through small baton-shaped gas tubes filled with tritium, here in six different colours. This method of illumination requires no form of charging and lasts for an extensive period of time.

Beyond its dazzling dial, the watch delivers on precision and power with a COSC-certified movement. The movement is surrounded by a special shield that offers anti-magnetic protection of an intensity of 80,000 A/m (1,000 Gauss), constructed from mu-metal, an alloy comprised of nickel, iron, copper and molybdenum. Further adding to its robust credentials, it is equipped with a patented Amortiser® anti-shock system and is water resistant to 100 metres.

The Engineer III Marvelight Chronometer is limited to 1,000 pieces, with SFr300 from the sale of each watch donated to The Salvation Army throughout the pre-order period, running until 31 July.
