Round the clock: Patek Philippe Twenty~4 Ref. 7300/1200R

A sophisticated round case and precise automatic movement bring a new perspective to the watchmaker’s elegant collection dedicated to women

Few possessions are as personal as a watch. An accessory with impact beyond its small stature, it is one of the few constants that accompany us through every moment of our lives, from the normal day-to-day to rare and special occasions.

If there’s one watchmaker that appreciates the tastes and requirements of the modern woman, it’s Patek Philippe. Feminine timepieces have been at the heart of its collections since its beginnings in 1839, and in the centuries since it has demonstrated this intimate understanding through both the refined aesthetics it has brought to its collections, paired with pioneering and technical timekeeping.

First launched in 1999, the Twenty~4 is the ultimate expression of this ethos. Dedicated to women, it was created, as the name suggests, to fit seamlessly into their day. Chic, dynamic and comfortable, it’s just as at home in the boardroom as it is worn with a ballgown. A true modern classic, it continues to evolve and adapt to reflect our increasingly demanding lifestyles.

The Twenty~4 Ref. 7300/1200R is a case in point. Adding an interesting counterpoint to the Twenty~4 manchette, this model brings a soft elegance to the family with its round case. This is a work of art in itself; the case and bezel are cold-formed in high-tonnage presses before being carefully machined to refine the delicate contours. It is then manually polished in a skillful and painstaking process to create its flawless finish. Similarly with the dial, the pleasure is in the fine details, its shimmering vertical and horizontal satin finish recalling the texture of wild shantung silk. Its luxurious nature extends to the bezel, set with 160 diamonds.

Like all of the manufacture’s creations, its beauty extends from inside out. The self-winding calibre 324 S C delivers on the precision and reliability required of a watch destined to keep track of life’s every moment, thanks to innovations including the Spiromax® balance spring. Meanwhile its fine finishing can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback, reinforcing its place as a timeless design to be treasured for future generations to come.
