Nomos Glashütte adds two colourful new additions in deep pink and blue purple to its youthful Club Campus range
Nomos Glashütte has always been something of a youthful outlier in the veteran world of watchmaking, formed in Germany in 1990 just after the fall of the Berlin wall. Yet what it lacks in centuries of experience it more than makes up for with its fresh perspective, not only demonstrated through its respected in-house timekeeping but with its unique modern aesthetic.
The Club Campus is the ultimate expression of this, Nomos Glashütte’s entry-level range aimed at those picking out their first “proper” timepiece (and especially, as the name suggests, graduates looking to mark a special occasion). As such, it leans into the brand’s contemporary, Bauhaus-style aesthetic, yet with playful and surprising touches such as the unusual mix of Arabic and Roman numerals on the dial.
It also provides the ideal canvas to experiment with more daring colour schemes, with two vibrant new additions in deep pink and blue purple. Featuring fresh highlights in white and orange, the former’s fashionable look is complemented by the grey velour leather strap, while the latter comes on a slightly toned-down black version. Meanwhile there’s an option to completely change up the look with a metal bracelet.
Both are powered by Nomos Glashütte’s reliable workhorse of a movement, the Alpha, an automatic calibre with a 43-hour power reserve. Available in two sizes, 36 and 38.5mm, it comes with complimentary engraving on the caseback, the ideal finishing touch whether giving as a gift or commemorating a personal moment in life.
