TAG Heuer Connected watch

Wearable tech is now ubiquitous but when it comes to smartwatches that deliver on both style and functionality in equal measure, the choices are far more limited. With its watchmaking pedigree, the need for a product that both looks good and performs to the highest standard is something that TAG Heuer understands well. It’s little surprise, therefore, that since launching its first luxury connected watch more than five years ago, it has continued to be a pioneer in the sector.

The TAG Heuer Connected allows you to seamlessly sync your activity with your mobile

Its latest updates on the TAG Heuer Connected are no exception. The watch was already streamlined last year, with the third generation model building on its sophisticated design and smart capabilities, from immersive sports experiences to everyday lifestyle features powered by Wear OS by Google. Now a new Wellness App takes it to the next level, bringing an array of trackable metrics to not only give valuable insight into the wearer’s health and fitness, but help motivate them to achieve their goals.

To help understand how movement can benefit the body it tracks key stats including daily activity, exercise intensity and calories burned. Crucially, as well as giving immediate feedback, it visualises how these numbers are evolving over time, allowing you to set and work towards personal targets. These are intuitively displayed, with a number of watchfaces that can be configured to fit your own style.

TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition

Thanks to its strong fitness credentials, it has caught the attention of both sporting enthusiasts and professionals and, last year, TAG Heuer cemented its ties to the world of golf with the launch of a dedicated Connected watch focused on the pursuit. This, too, has undergone a revamp, further enhancing its already considerable features to improve performance on the course.

Particularly impressive is its mapping technology, providing interactive 2D maps on the watch, and realistic 3D courses on phones. These visualisations are now even more detailed, with accurate, up-to-date maps of more than 40,000 courses around the world. These capabilities make it the ultimate golfing companion, incorporating numerous handy features to level up your game. TAG Heuer’s Driving Zone automatically shows players the landing zone of their previous tee shots, allowing them to rethink their strategy, while its innovative club recommendation tool uses distance on the map to indicate the best choice. And you’ll be the most popular player as keeping score on the watch is seamless, visualising the score in stroke play, stableford, or match play.

TAG Heuer ambassador and professional golfer Tommy Fleetwood tests out the TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition

Importantly for a sports-orientated watch, the TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition comes tried and tested by the best. The watchmaker has enlisted the help of its ambassador and professional golfer Tommy Fleetwood to put it through its paces. ‘I love wearing this watch both on and off the course. The features are really well thought out, making the game more precise and I can’t think of a golfer whose game wouldn’t benefit from it.’
