Inspired by neoclassical baroque elegance favoured by brand founder Abraham-Louis Breguet, the new Breguet Classique 5177 presents the company’s signature dark blue – traditionally seen on the timepieces’ hands – in a grand feu enamel dial for the first time.
To guarantee this exact nuance, the blue colour needs to remain perfectly stable during firing at over 800 degrees Celsius, lending a unique grain to the finish. Powered by the self-winding 777Q mechanical caliber, the model has simple and useful functions with elements that are reminiscent of Breguet’s creations from the late 18th century, such as the form of the wheels.
What’s more, an individual number is engraved on the back of each watch, so the owner can have their name recorded in the Breguet registers that have been kept since 1780.
